Vision
Our vision for the development of the Carpathians is based on the following principles:
- The nature(geodiversity and biodiversity), as a renewable resource, needs to be maintained for the future generations, through active conservation and ecological education.
- The Cultural Heritage, as a renewable resource, used for sustainable communal development
- A sustainable communal development through culture, science, education and human interaction.
- A sustainable coomunal development needs to be eco-efficient, creative, participatory and harmonious.
Carpaterra considers that the power of a community is based on the knowledge and skill of its members and in that regard our organization wishes to develop partnerships with people and entities that share the same vision.
Our focus will be:
Local: the city of Brasov and its surroundings: Barsa Country
Regional: The Curvature Carpathian area(Piatra Craiului, Bucegi, Postavaru, Piatra Mare, Baiului and Ciucas and Grohotis)
National: Romanian Carpathians
European: the Carpathian Mountain chain: Slovacia (17%), Cehia (3%), Polonia (10%), Ucraina (11%), Ungaria (4%), România (53%) and Serbia (2%).
